Lt. Governor Anil Baijal has rejected the Delhi Subordinate Services Selection Board, DSSSB examination 2017 held to conduct recruitment of primary teachers in MCD operated schools. The exam was organized on 29.10.2017 at more centres in the city of Delhi. Up on evident of cheating were registered and the question paper leak was found on a Facebook site Police reports were filed. Then the Delhi Chief Minister – Arvind Kejriwal and his deputy, Manish Sisodia asked the cancellation of the exam. In a individual report, the Central Administrative Tribunal, has too given a notice to DSSSB, barring the declaration of the results.
According to the reports, the exam question papers were leaked on the day of the exam on 29th October 2017. A petitioner had made a complaint saying that about 3.10 pm, during the written test, 1 solved question paper was made available in the Facebook page of Dilli Atithi Shikshak Sangh DASS. Having the serious way of the complaints, Anil Baijal has stopped the examination. DSSSB has been later advised to re-hold the examination at the earliest possible with the vacancies getting filled.
LG has too demanded the Delhi Police Commissioner Amulya Patnaik to carry investigation of the matter in a time-bound method. The subject was relayed to the crime branch for expeditious investigations. Noting the administrative lapses, the CAT principal bench, headed by its chairman Justice Permod Kohli, has asked a brief report from the DSSSB, within 3 weeks, on the paper leak allegations and other usuals in link with the examination. The bench wants asked the Delhi Police to give before it in 3 weeks a status report of its investigation into the issue & posted the legal for later hearing on 16.1.2018.
